How to Use your Silicone Baking Sheet

Description:

  • Non-stick, Food Grade, Heat-resistant Silicone Baking Mat

Before first use:

  • Wash the mat with warm soapy water
  • Heat the mat in a conventional or microwave oven for 5-10 minutes
  • Remove the mat when it has cooled and wash again with warm soapy water

Note: The baking sheet may release a slight odor during this process. The odor will go away with subsequent uses.

How to Use:

  • Pre-heat oven to recipe directions
  • For best results increase recipe temperatures 25 to 50 degress higher Foods may take longer to cook on the baking sheet than on a traditional baking sheet, so you may want to increase cooking times by a few minutes
  • Place the baking sheet with its points facing up on a heat resistant baking pan or sheet
  • Place food articles on the tips of the baking sheet
  • For crispier results, spray food on both sides with a cooking oil spray

Clean Up:

Wash the baking sheet in warm soapy water and dry or place in dishwasher. Tip: Soaking the baking sheet in warm soapy water immediately after use will help prevent build up of grime.

Caution:

  • Food and baking sheet will be hot and should be handled with care
  • Do not use on stovetop or under the oven broiler
  • Do not exceed temperatures of more than 392 deg F (200 deg C) in a conventional oven
  • Oven temperatures will vary
  • The baking sheet is not intended to support large pieces of meat such as a roast or whole chickens or turkey
  • Smaller food articles will fall in between the pyramids and not achieve the desired results
  • Do not place directly into oven without being placed on a heat resistant supportive baking pan or sheet
